Three-Month Sewing Training Begins for Women in Bilaspur

Bilaspur, November 4 — To promote livelihood opportunities and self-reliance among rural women, a three-month sewing training programme has been launched under the Himachal Pradesh Crop Diversification Promotion Project by the Block Project Management Unit, Bilaspur.
A total of 15 women from Makri, Kamalota, Sangrana, and Kothi Batala-Jyora panchayats have been selected for the training, which started on November 3. A master trainer will guide participants in both modern sewing techniques and practical skills.
Participants will also receive a monthly stipend during the training period to support their financial stability. Upon completion, each woman will be provided with a sewing toolkit to help them begin self-employment ventures.
Block Project Manager Dr. Pawan Kumar said that the initiative aims to empower rural women by creating new livelihood avenues and improving their household income while helping them gain recognition in society.
