Floral Tributes Paid at The Ridge on Dr. Y.S. Parmar’s 119th Birth Anniversary

Shimla, August 4:
The 119th birth anniversary of Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar, the architect of Himachal Pradesh and its first Chief Minister, was commemorated today with a floral tribute at his statue on The Ridge, Shimla.

Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh paid floral respects on behalf of the people of the state. Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur, Deputy Speaker of HP Assembly Vinay Kumar, Shimla Mayor Surender Chauhan, Deputy Mayor Uma Kaushal, councillors, Deputy Commissioner Shimla Anupam Kashyap, SP Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi, Special Secretary GAD Harbans Singh Brascon, Shimla Municipal Commissioner Bhupendra Kumar Atri, and Additional District Magistrate (Protocol) Jyoti Rana also offered tributes to Dr. Parmar.

On this occasion, artists from the Information & Public Relations Department presented devotional hymns and patriotic songs as a mark of respect to the visionary leader.
