Governor to inaugurate International Shimla Summer Festival

The International Shimla Summer Festival, being held from June 8 to 12, 2026, will be inaugurated by Himachal Pradesh Governor Kavinder Gupta and concluded by Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu. In addition, Shimla Urban MLA Harish Janartha will grace the cultural evenings of the festival as chief guests on June 9, Education Minister Rohit Thakur on June 10, and Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri on June 11.
Giving this information, the government spokesperson said that like every year, this year also the International Shimla Summer Festival is being organised in a grand manner in which apart from colourful cultural presentations, various sports and other competitions will be the main attractions.
Under the five cultural evenings to be organized from 8th to 12th June, 2026, the first cultural evening will be by famous Bollywood playback singer Shabab Sabri, second cultural evening by Bollywood playback singer Jyotika Tangri, third cultural evening by Naati King Kuldeep Sharma, fourth evening by famous Punjabi singer Gurnam Bhullar and the last cultural evening will be by famous Punjabi singers Jassi Gill and Babbal Rai.
Under other attractions, artists from Tibet Performing Arts Institute and North Zone Cultural Centre, Patiala will give cultural performances. Apart from this, Art Festival, My Champion Dog Show, Healthy Baby Show, Shyamala Manthan, Shyamala Mushaira, Shyamala Kavi Goshthi, Anti Chitta Under-21 District Level Volleyball Competition, Live Band Show, Maha Naati, Chhamm Dance, Voice of Mountain, Fashion Show, Mallakhamb, Zumba, Shimla Swaad Mahotsav, Hot Air Balloon Show, Helicopter Journey, Shimla Summer Festival Film Festival, Special Awareness Campaign on Road Safety and Shyamala Rang Mach Utsav will be the main attractions.
