Auckland House Boys Hosts Landmark YMUN 2025, Fueling Dialogue and Diplomacy

Over 250 Delegates from 12 Schools Debate Global Policy & Youth Leadership

Shimla, July 24:
Auckland House School for Boys proudly hosted YMUN 2025, the largest Model United Nations (MUN) conference in Himachal Pradesh, on July 19–20. With over 250 student delegates from 12 reputed schools, the two-day conclave served as a vibrant forum for global policy discourse, critical thinking, and youth-driven diplomacy.

The event was inaugurated by Abhishek Verma (ADC, Shimla) with a ceremonial lamp lighting.  Reuben John, Principal of AHS Boys, addressed the gathering as Guest of Honour, urging students to “align intellect with purpose” in his keynote. The central theme of the summit, “Where Ideas Meet Action”, resonated through high-powered debates across six diverse committees.

Committees included Lok Sabha, UNHRC, UNSC, UNCSW, HP Vidhan Sabha, and AIPPM, along with a fully functional International Press Corps comprising reporters, caricaturists, and photographers.

Participating Schools included : Sacred Heart, CJM, St. Luke’s, MRA DAV, Pinegrove School, Bishop Cotton School, Cambridge International, ATLAS, Roots Country School, Chelsea, AHS Girls & AHS Boys.

  • Best Op-Ed: Tanish Sharma (AHS Boys)

UNSC

  • Best Delegate: Angad Verma (Pinegrove)

UNCSW

  • Best Delegate: Arika Dhanta

The conference concluded with a strong message—the future of leadership belongs to the informed, the empathetic, and the bold. YMUN 2025 not only empowered youth voices but also strengthened the culture of informed discourse and responsible global citizenship.
