Spirit, Sports & Service: NSS Camp Concludes on a High at LR Institute of Education

Solan, April 14: The seven-day NSS camp organized by the B.Ed. Department at LR Institute of Education concluded on an energetic and celebratory note, marked by enthusiasm, teamwork, and a strong sense of accomplishment among volunteers.
The final day witnessed a vibrant cricket tournament held at the Solan Police Ground, which emerged as the highlight of the closing ceremony. In the girls’ category, the team led by first-year NSS volunteer Anjali clinched victory with an impressive performance. Meanwhile, the junior boys’ category delivered a thrilling contest, with the first-year team securing a hard-fought win in a nail-biting super over finish.
The concluding ceremony also featured a community feast and refreshments, bringing together all volunteers in a spirit of camaraderie and celebration.
Addressing the participants, Principal Dr. Nisha Sharma emphasized the importance of such camps in shaping students’ personalities. She noted that NSS activities play a crucial role in instilling discipline, leadership qualities, and a strong sense of teamwork among young learners.
The successful culmination of the camp not only provided students with practical exposure and meaningful experiences but also reinforced the values of service, unity, and holistic development.
