Fit to Win: RKMV Girls Train for Fitness, Sport and Future Opportunities
Shimla, Aug 22: Rajkiya Kanya Mahavidyalaya (RKMV), Shimla, is conducting a 15-day “Fit to Win” Physical Fitness Camp from August 12 to 28, aimed at empowering young women through fitness, sports training and preparation for future career opportunities.
The camp combines strength and conditioning, sports skills, yoga, flexibility, nutrition and team-building activities, with specialised preparation for the Police Constable Ground Test to build stamina, agility, speed and endurance.
A key feature of the initiative is the provision of a healthy, nutritious breakfast after daily training, reinforcing the importance of recovery and healthy eating alongside physical exercise.
The programme also focuses on developing discipline, confidence, teamwork and a healthy lifestyle, while providing an opportunity to identify and nurture sporting talent among RKMV students.
The camp is being coordinated by Dr. Jitender Thakur, Assistant Professor of Physical Education, RKMV Shimla.
