St. Thomas’ School Observes World Water Day with Awareness Program

Shimla, March 22 – St. Thomas’ School, Shimla, in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra Shimla, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, organized a special awareness program on World Water Day under its Youth Tourism Club. The event aimed to educate young students about the importance of water conservation through various engaging activities.
Youth Tourism Club members Kritika, Priya, Divyansh Sharma, and Sakshi shared their insights on water conservation. Club in-charge and faculty member Surender Sharma delivered a PowerPoint presentation on water preservation, pollution control, waste management, reducing plastic usage, and afforestation.
Adding a creative touch, club members performed a water conservation anthem, spreading the message of protecting natural water sources. Students, teachers, and attendees also took an oath to conserve water and resources.
Vice Principal Mrs. Sharon Nanda encouraged students to incorporate water conservation practices into their daily lives and inspire their communities to do the same. The program concluded with participants receiving mementos in recognition of their contributions.
