₹70 Cr Sunni-Luhri Road Upgrade Project Launched: Vikramaditya Singh

Shimla, March 24, 2025 – Public Works and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh performed the Bhoomi Pujan for the upgradation of the Salapar-Tattapani-Sunni-Luhri Road at Loti village, Chebdi Panchayat in Shimla Rural Constituency. The ₹70 crore project aims to enhance connectivity for residents of Shakrodi, Chebdi, Bharara, Ogli, and Bagh Panchayats. Singh credited the Sunni Dam Hydroelectric Project for its crucial contribution to this road development initiative.

During his visit, the minister inspected the under-construction Sunni Dam and directed Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) officials to prioritize employment for project-affected families. He assured that the government would address all pending issues related to the project to ensure timely completion.

A review meeting was held at Khera, where SJVN officials presented the progress report of the project. Singh acknowledged that large-scale projects face challenges but reaffirmed the government’s commitment to resolving local concerns and safeguarding public interests.

The event was attended by Sunni Nagar Parishad Chairman Pradeep Sharma, Zila Parishad Member Reena Kashyap, former Block Congress President Gopal Sharma, SJVN Project Head Rajiv Agarwal, and Project Director Krishna Kumar Satti, among others.
