Shimla, May 9, 2025 — Auckland House School’s UPD Sports Day 2025 was a dazzling showcase of athleticism and discipline as students participated in a wide array of events, blending traditional fitness with competitive sports. The celebration kicked off with synchronized yoga, aerobics, and rhythmic gymnastics, where students wielded sticks and ribbons with poise and precision. Karate demonstrations reflected strength and focus, while classic track events like the 50m sprint, hurdle races, sack races, and skipping kept the excitement alive throughout the day.
Gracing the occasion was Dr. Anurita Saxena, Principal of RKMV, as the Chief Guest. She applauded the school’s emphasis on holistic development and encouraged students to embrace both competition and camaraderie.
The highlight of the day was the house-wise championship results. Matthew House clinched the top spot, showcasing consistent performance across events. French House followed in second place, with Lefroy and Durrant Houses taking third and fourth positions respectively.
A standout moment came when Aahana Rohta of Matthew House was named *Best Athlete*, earning admiration for her all-round performance and sportsmanship.
