Reservation roster issued for Panchayat Samitis Chairman post

Mandi, 14 December: Reservation roster has been issued for the post of Chairman of Panchayat Samitis in Mandi District. Deputy Commissioner Mandi Rigveda Thakur has issued a reservation roster for the post of President of all 11 Panchayat Committees for General Election 2020 in District Mandi in exercise of the powers conferred under Himachal Pradesh Panchayati Raj Act, 1994.
According to the roster, out of 11 panchayat committees, the presidency has been reserved for women.
The post of Chairperson of Panchayat Samiti Chauantra and Gopalpur has been reserved for Scheduled Caste Women, Other Backward Class Women of Balh Panchayat Samiti, and the post of Chairperson of Sadar, Gohar and Drang Panchayat Samiti.
At the same time, the post of Chairman of Dharampur Panchayat Samiti is scheduled for Scheduled Caste, while the post of Chairperson of Karsog, Sundarnagar, Saraj and Balichowki Panchayat Samiti has been kept unreserved.
