HP Congress Chief Urges Rebels to Withdraw from Municipal Polls
1 min readShimla, May 04: Vinay Kumar has urged party leaders and workers contesting as independents against officially nominated candidates in four municipal corporation elections to withdraw from the race. He emphasized that party decisions must be respected and warned of strict disciplinary action against those defying organizational directives.
He stated that in any political party, the organization is supreme, and its decisions are binding on all members. Vinay Kumar also assured that dedicated workers performing well in municipal, पंचायत, and urban local body elections would be duly recognized and honoured within the party.
Highlighting that the Congress government is functioning under the leadership of the Chief Minister with a focus on public welfare, he called upon party members to carry out assigned responsibilities with sincerity. He added that the party’s election war room at the state headquarters will closely monitor developments and report regularly.
