1 min readDharamshala, April 27: Swift action by the administration led to the successful rescue of two paragliders after an accident in the remote Guran Dhar area of Baijnath subdivision. Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa informed that due to the inaccessibility of the mountainous terrain, immediate helicopter assistance was sought to carry out the rescue operation.
Rajasthan-based pilot Arun Singh sustained serious injuries, while another paraglider, Ranjan Gupta, got stranded on a tree. With coordinated efforts involving the Air Force, police, and local rescue teams, both were safely evacuated and shifted to Vivekananda Hospital Palampur for treatment.
