Financial Inclusion Campaign Launched in Hamirpur to Expand Access to Banking and Social Security Schemes

Hamirpur, June 16: A month-long Financial Inclusion Saturation Campaign has been launched in Hamirpur district as part of a nationwide initiative by the Department of Financial Services, Government of India, to ensure greater access to banking and financial services for citizens.

The campaign, running from June 15 to July 15, was inaugurated at Tikkar Buhla village, where officials from the Financial Literacy Centre, Hamirpur, educated residents about various banking products, loan and deposit schemes, insurance coverage and pension programmes.

As part of the campaign, an awareness camp was also organized at the Mahila Mandal Bhawan in Gram Panchayat Nara under the chairmanship of Lead District Manager (LDM) Dharmendra Syal.

Addressing participants, Syal said the objective of the campaign is to connect all eligible citizens with banking, insurance and pension schemes while enhancing financial awareness among the public. He emphasized that these schemes offer significant benefits and financial security to individuals and families.

He urged people to take advantage of the available banking services, social security schemes and financial products designed to promote economic inclusion and long-term financial well-being.

The campaign will continue across the district through awareness programmes and outreach activities aimed at ensuring that the benefits of formal financial services reach every eligible household.
