D.C. Rana takes charge of Chamba District

Chamba, October 22 –

D.C. Rana took charge as the new Deputy Commissioner of Chamba district today. He said that he will have priority to complete various projects already started for the development of the district.

Apart from this, the government plans and schemes will also be targeted to reach the common man. He said that due to his past tenure in Chamba district, he is aware of the geographical conditions and other problems that he has to face.

There are many hydroelectric projects in Chamba district that are either completed or their construction is in progress. There is also the full potential for investment and local employment opportunities through hydropower projects in the district.

In view of the festive season in this phase of Covid-19, he said that people will be made aware of Corona virus and the precautions taken by it.

DC Rana was earlier Director, Environment, Science, and Technology besides Special Secretary, Chief Minister, Revenue and managing disaster management. In the year 2014 batch IAS officer DC Rana has also served as Assistant Commissioner (Development) and Block Development Officer Teesa in addition to the posts of SDM Bharmour and SDM Dalhousie.
