60 Law Students Visit Solan Police Station for Educational Tour
Solan, October 7: Sixty law students of L.R. Institute of Legal Studies, Ochghat, Solan, visited Solan Police Station as part of an educational tour organised in collaboration with the Solan Police Administration.
The students visited the Women Police Station, Traffic Police Branch and Sadar Police Station to gain practical insight into police functioning, administrative procedures and legal processes.
Police officials briefed the students on the procedure for registering FIRs, laws related to women’s safety, traffic regulations and routine police operations. The students also visited the record room, malkhana and control room and interacted with police personnel.
The visit was led by Assistant Professors Anchal Dadwal, Manoj Kumar and Shakuntala. Institute Director and Principal Dr Sunil Deshta, former Dean of the Faculty of Law, Himachal Pradesh University, said practical exposure along with theoretical knowledge is essential for legal education and helps students develop a better understanding of legal and judicial processes.
The institute expressed gratitude to the Solan Police Administration for facilitating the educational visit.
