10th Rabindranath Tagore Memorial Lecture Held at IIAS Shimla

Shimla, 4 June 2025 – The Indian Institute of Advanced Study (IIAS), Shimla, hosted the 10th Rabindranath Tagore Memorial Lecture at the historic Library Hall. Dr. Vinay Prabhakar Sahasrabuddhe, former ICCR President, delivered the keynote address on “Political Party Reforms for Effective Democratic Governance.”

Dr. Sahasrabuddhe emphasized the need for internal democracy, ideological clarity, and structural reforms in political parties to strengthen democratic governance. The event drew participation from scholars, researchers, and academics.

IIAS Director Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari welcomed guests, while Chairperson Prof. Shashi Prabha Kumar introduced the speaker. Secretary Mehar Chand Negi extended a vote of thanks. The lecture concluded with the National Anthem and a networking high tea session.
