B.L. Modi English Elocution Competition Concludes at BCS

Shimla, August 8: The two-day B.L. Modi English Elocution Competition, hosted by Bishop Cotton School, Shimla, concluded successfully with participation from 13 schools across the city.

The competition provided students with a platform to demonstrate their public-speaking abilities through presentations of poetry and prose. Participants displayed confidence, clarity, expression and command of the English language.

Mr. Mahavir Singh, Vice Chancellor, Himachal Pradesh University, was the Chief Guest at the event.

In the senior categories, the results were as follows:

Category 4 – Classes IX & X
Most Promising: Aarush Baru, Bishop Cotton School, Shimla; and Aarav Sharma, Sacred Heart Convent School, Dhalli.
Best Speaker: Udbhavi, Loreto Convent, Tara Hall.

Category 5 – Classes XI & XII
Most Promising: Pritha, Auckland House School; and Arundhati Sharma, Loreto Convent, Tara Hall.
Best Speaker: Dev Moon Jhanji, Bishop Cotton School, Shimla.

The competition concluded with appreciation for all participants and their efforts. Bishop Cotton School expressed its gratitude to the Chief Guest, participating schools, teachers and students for their contribution to the successful conduct of the event.
