Quality Education Key to Inclusive and Sustainable Development: Vikramaditya Singh

Solan, June 2: Himachal Pradesh Public Works and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh* said that quality education is the foundation of inclusive and long-term development. He was addressing the Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony at the prestigious The Lawrence School, Sanawar.
Congratulating the award-winning students, Singh said The Lawrence School has a rich academic legacy and its alumni have excelled in diverse fields across the country and abroad. He expressed confidence that the students would continue to achieve new milestones in their chosen careers.
The minister noted that Himachal Pradesh is among the most literate states in India, crediting the vision of the state’s first Chief Minister, Dr. Y.S. Parmar, and successive leaders who worked towards makng Himachal a model state.
He also paid tribute to former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, saying his vision of a developed Himachal continues to inspire efforts in the state. Singh urged students to pursue their goals with dedication while also contributing to society through service and responsible citizenship.
The minister presented awards to students for their outstanding achievements and appreciated the school for providing a platform that nurtures talent and holistic development.
Headmistress Ruchi Pradhan Dutta welcomed the chief guest and other attendees at the function.
