Una, Dec 3
The Una Municipal Corporation has extended the parking duration across all its designated parking sites, allowing residents to park for 30 minutes at just ₹10. This decision was announced by Municipal Commissioner and ADC Mahendra Pal Gurjar.
The move comes after local traders requested Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal to increase the earlier 20-minute time limit. Acting on the DC’s directions, the corporation revised the parking duration to offer greater convenience, especially for those visiting the city for short errands.
Commissioner Gurjar said the step will benefit citizens seeking quick and affordable parking options. He added that the corporation will continue strict action against illegal encroachments and haphazard parking to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety.
Recently, the district administration declared several No-Parking and No-Vending Zones to reduce congestion in Una town. The revised parking policy is expected to further support these efforts and improve overall urban mobility.
