Solan District Orders Blackout Measures Amid Security Concerns

Solan, Himachal Pradesh – The District Administration has issued urgent safety directives to all Panchayat-level authorities in response to current regional tensions. Panchayat Secretaries, Pradhans, BDC members, and Zila Parishad members have been directed to advise residents to remain alert and switch off all lights at night. Additionally, all solar street lights must be covered using dark cloth or other non-reflective materials. Where covering is not possible, the power supply to such lights should be temporarily disconnected. These measures aim to minimize light emission and enhance security during nighttime hours.
