Congress Challenges BJP: Hold BJP Accountable for Ten Years in Power

Shimla: Naresh Chauhan, the Pradesh Upadhyaksh of Congress, launched an attack on the BJP, saying that the BJP has been in power in the country for ten years. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has been in power for ten years, should be held accountable for the work of his government. Chauhan said that the BJP made promises to the people in the Lok Sabha elections of 2014 and 2019, showed dreams, and the people should now demand an account of how many of those promises were fulfilled. After ten years, they are once again going to the people, so they should tell how many promises BJP has fulfilled according to the manifesto.
Naresh Chauhan said that all the promises of the BJP have turned out to be mere slogans. BJP national leaders said during elections that after forming the government, Rs 15 lakh will be deposited in the account of every person, but when they came to power, they said that it was an election gimmick. Similarly, BJP has cheated the youth. During elections, it was promised that 2 crore youths would be employed every year. According to the promises of the BJP, 20 crore youths should have been employed in the country in ten years, which did not happen. Now no BJP leader talks about providing employment to the youth. BJP promised to double the income of farmers, develop, create smart cities, reduce inflation, etc., which were not fulfilled.
Now BJP leaders are making every effort to keep the Lok Sabha elections away from the real issues of the people. So that by diverting the issues, they can scare the people. Naresh Chauhan said that BJP leaders should present the report card of their ten-year government in front of the people. BJP leaders are unable to tell what work has been done in ten years because the government has been running on slogans alone for ten years. Chauhan questioned BJP leaders to tell how many youths got employment in ten years, how much inflation decreased, where development took place, and how much income of farmers increased.
Naresh Chauhan said that Congress has talked about justice for women, youth, and farmers in its manifesto. The issues of the country are unemployment, inflation, and increasing the income of farmers. Congress has guaranteed that if it comes to power, it will enact a law to give MSP according to the recommendations of the Swaminathan Committee. When the farmers took to the streets with their demands, the BJP government crushed and betrayed them. The answer to this will be given by the farmers in the elections.
The Pradesh Upadhyaksh of Congress said that BJP does not have the right to ask questions, it is time to answer. Congress has said in its manifesto that there are 30 lakh vacant posts in the central government, they will be filled. Women have been guaranteed that Rs 1 lakh will be given to economically weak women. Every class has been promised relief in the Congress manifesto. BJP leaders are worried and instead of talking about their achievements, they are discussing the Congress manifesto. BJP has deceived the people and the people of the country feel cheated. The people are ready to teach BJP a lesson in these elections.
