Crypto Scam Complaints Filed in Himachal Pradesh After MLA’s Raise Issue in Assembly
1 min readAfter Dehra MLA Hoshiyar Singh raised the issue of cryptocurrency scams in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly, the state government has formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the matter. Nearly 30 individuals from various areas of the Dehra sub-division have submitted complaints to the Dehra police regarding cryptocurrency fraud. Following the receipt of these complaints, the police have registered a First Information Report (FIR).
MLA Hoshiyar Singh, while speaking on the issue, revealed that high-ranking officials from major political parties are allegedly involved in the cryptocurrency scams, which has caused people to invest millions of rupees with trust. He stated that approximately two billion rupees have been swindled in cryptocurrency scams in Himachal Pradesh.
Government employees, including police personnel, have also fallen victim to this scam. Singh urged the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress party to immediately remove any leaders or officials implicated in the investigation. He emphasized that the innocent people of Himachal Pradesh invested in cryptocurrency scams based on trust and that strict action should be taken against those involved.
The investigation into this matter is ongoing, and more complaints are expected to be filed with the police in the coming days.
