1 min readShimla, November 29– Former Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition, Jairam Thakur, criticized the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu-led Himachal Pradesh government, accusing it of prioritizing image-building over governance. In a statement, Thakur alleged that the current administration is more interested in propaganda than addressing the needs of the people.
Thakur claimed that the government’s focus on publicity is an attempt to mask its failures. He highlighted the deteriorating state of healthcare, alleging that hospitals lack basic medicines and surgeries are being delayed. He also accused the Sukhu government of reversing the achievements of the previous BJP administration by closing institutions and withdrawing jobs.
“The Sukhu government has spent two years selling lies and celebrating false achievements,” Thakur said, adding that public dissatisfaction is growing as the administration fails to deliver on its promises. He criticized the government’s preparations to celebrate its two-year anniversary, calling it a celebration of failure.
