State’s Educational institutes to open from Monday

The Himachal Pradesh government on Friday allowed schools and colleges in the state to reopen from Monday – Nov. 2, 2020, for students of Class 9 and above.
Since students will have to follow social distancing norms, the strength of a class may exceed the capacity of the classroom in some institutions, and in such cases, principals may permit attendance on alternative days or shifts as per convenience, joint secretary (higher education) Ved Parkash said in an order.
Attendance by the students will be voluntary and students will be allowed to attend school/college only after written consent by their parents.
Online studies will also continue and all educational institutions will have to follow Covid-related SOPs and guidelines as issued by the central government.
