Shimla to Observe National Resolve Day and National Unity Day at The Ridge

Kashyap said that, as in previous years, a commemorative programme would be organised at the historic Ridge to mark the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, observed as National Resolve Day, and the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, observed as National Unity Day.

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu will pay floral tributes to the two leaders. Those attending the programme will also take the pledges associated with National Resolve Day and National Unity Day. Patriotic songs will be presented to pay tribute to the leaders.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Sachin Sharma, Additional District Magistrate (Law and Order) Pankaj Sharma, Additional District Magistrate (Protocol) Gyan Sagar Negi, SDM Shimla Rural Kartikeya Sharma and other officials attended the meeting.
