Shimla DC Inspects EVM Warehouse at Fagu

Shimla, September 22, 2026: District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Shimla Anupam Kashyap inspected the EVM warehouse at Fagu on Tuesday and reviewed the security arrangements for electronic voting machines and VVPAT units.

During the inspection, he checked CCTV cameras, security arrangements, fire-fighting equipment and entry-exit registers. He directed officials to ensure strict compliance with Election Commission guidelines and prevent any unauthorised access to the warehouse.

Kashyap stressed that the security of EVMs is a top priority for maintaining transparency and credibility in the electoral process. He also interacted with security personnel and directed them to maintain regular surveillance of the facility.

Officials and staff of the Election Department were present during the inspection.
