Second District-Level Sensitisation Workshop on Rural Entrepreneurship Held at Govt. ITI Theog

Theog, Shimla, September 17, 2026: The second district-level sensitisation workshop on entrepreneurship was organised at the Pre-Rural Incubation Centre, Government ITI Theog, under the RAMP scheme in collaboration with Himachal Pradesh Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (HPCED), Industries Department, and The Planet Education Society, Paonta Sahib.

The workshop aimed to sensitise rural youth, students, self-help groups and local youth about entrepreneurship, self-employment, startups and micro and small business opportunities.

Participants were briefed on government schemes including PMEGP and PM Vishwakarma, along with available loans, subsidies, training and skill-development support. Around 110 students, SHG members, local youth and staff participated.

The session also provided guidance on developing business ideas, starting enterprises, utilising local resources and accessing government schemes. Participants were informed about continued training, mentoring and handholding support through the Pre-Rural Incubation Centre.
