Healthy Minds, Happy Hearts: Joint Awareness Programme Held at RKMV

Shimla, September 17, 2026: A joint programme on “Shangri-La – Healthy Minds, Happy Hearts, Clean Environment” was organised at Government Girls College, Shimla, by the Eco Club and Red Ribbon Club in collaboration with Auckland House School (Boys & Girls).

Principal Dr. Anurita Saxena attended the event as the chief guest. The programme featured presentations and cultural performances highlighting environmental protection, mental health and social awareness.

Auckland House students presented a presentation on the harmful effects of single-use plastic, followed by a speech and a street play, “Plastic and Human”. The Red Ribbon Club presented a street play on “Drug-Free India”. Poetry and cultural performances focusing on patriotism and environmental awareness were also presented.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Anurita Saxena stressed the importance of making mental health and environmental protection part of everyday life, particularly among youth. She said such collaborative programmes help develop social awareness, leadership qualities and creativity among students.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Kartik Mrityunjay Chauhan and the National Anthem.
