Online webinar organized by ICAR-IARI Regional Station Shimla
1 min readShimla, Dec. 18 – In response to the campaign launched by our Hon’ble Prime Minister on Cleanliness ICAR-IARI Regional Station Shimla organized an online webinar on 18th December 2020 on the occasion of Swachchta Pakhora w.e.f. 16th – 31st December 2020.
Dr K.K. Pramanick, Head, IARI, RS, Shimla welcomed Padma Bhushan Dr Anil Prakash Joshi, founder of HESCO, Dehradun who was the chief guest and key note speaker for this program. Dr Pramanick briefed about him to the audience. Dr Joshi began his speech with Hon’ble Prime Minister message of “Gandagi Bharat Chodo”.
He emphasized for movement of cleanliness campaign and stated that it should not be limited to a day, month, year, it should be regular activity in our life. Cleanliness should be a part of our character. As a citizen of India, we should be sensitive towards cleanliness. To tackle the situation of Corona Virus, nature should be regarded as supreme power. If we worship the nature, make it clean then only next generations will have quality life. ‘Local needs meet locally’ can help in avoiding use of plastic and other non-biodegradable waste. He appreciated efforts of IARI, RS, Shimla for creating awareness through online webinar.
