MLA Pathania Visits Cloudburst-Hit Villages, Announces Immediate Relief

Kangra, July 23: Shahpur MLA and Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania cut short his overseas visit to reach cloudburst-affected villages in Dhar Kandi, trekking nearly eight kilometres to assess the damage firsthand. He visited affected families, reviewed relief operations, and directed officials to prepare detailed damage reports for compensation. Immediate financial assistance of ₹25,000 each was provided to 19 families and ₹10,000 each to 17 others, along with essential relief kits. He also said Rajya Sabha MP Anurag Sharma has contributed ₹25 lakh for relief efforts, while 40 Army personnel have joined rescue and rehabilitation operations.
