Labourer Killed Over ₹40 in Bhornaj

Bhornaj (Hamirpur), January 2, 2025:
A shocking incident occurred in Bhornaj’s Sammutal village on December 26, where a labourer, Sandeep Kumar, was killed following a dispute over ₹40. After sustaining severe injuries during an altercation, Sandeep succumbed to his injuries at AIIMS Bilaspur after six days of treatment.

According to his wife, Ramdarash restrained Sandeep while Amarjeet struck him on the head with a bamboo stick. Initially, the police were informed it was an accidental fall, and no case was registered. Following Sandeep’s death, a murder case has been lodged, and investigations are underway.
