Hamirpur, April 28: Taking serious note of rising litter across the town, the Municipal Corporation has warned coaching centres, educational institutions, and commercial establishments against distributing pamphlets and handouts in public places. Municipal Commissioner Rakesh Sharma urged all institutions to cooperate in maintaining cleanliness and avoid such practices that contribute to daily waste on roads, markets, and public areas.
He stated that despite repeated appeals, if any organisation is found violating the norms, strict action will be taken under the Himachal Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act, 1994. The corporation emphasized that collective responsibility is essential to keep the city clean and environmentally sustainable.
