Shimla, June 6: Himachal Pradesh’s Super-100 initiative under Samagra Shiksha has once again delivered impressive results, with 32 students from government schools qualifying the JEE Mains examination and six of them advancing to clear JEE Advanced.
Launched to provide free, high-quality coaching for competitive exams such as JEE and NEET, the programme is helping talented students from economically weaker backgrounds pursue careers in engineering and medicine without financial barriers.
A total of 5,193 science students from 850 government schools appeared in the state-level selection test conducted in September 2025, out of which 200 students were selected for intensive coaching. The programme offered live interactive classes, study material, regular assessments, mentorship sessions and residential boot camps at no cost.
Among the 32 successful candidates in JEE Mains, nine are girls. Mandi recorded the highest number of successful students with six qualifiers, followed by Chamba and Solan with five each.
Samagra Shiksha Director Rajesh Sharma described the achievement as a victory for government school education, saying it proves that students from public schools can compete successfully for admission to the country’s premier engineering institutions. Since its launch in 2021, the Super-100 programme has helped 76 students qualify JEE examinations.
