Ensure Compliance with Right of Way Policy in Mobile Tower Installation: Anupam Kashyap

Shimla, December 4: Deputy Commissioner Shimla, Anupam Kashyap, chaired a meeting today to address the regularization of Reliance Jio mobile towers in Shimla city under the Right of Way (ROW) policy.

Kashyap emphasized the essential role of mobile networks in modern life, stressing that while mobile towers are necessary, their installation must strictly adhere to the ROW policy. He highlighted the importance of ensuring structural stability and obtaining building completion certificates for tower installations.

He pointed out issues with certain towers in Shimla and instructed concerned officials to address them promptly. Kashyap also directed the removal of towers installed on unauthorized structures to prevent policy violations.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Magistrate (Law and Order) Ajit Bhardwaj, SDM Shimla Urban Bhanu Gupta, SDM Shimla Rural Kavita Thakur, and other officials.
