Chamba, April 7: Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repswal chaired a meeting to assess the progress of various decentralised schemes and works under the Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) in the district.

During the meeting, the DC directed all implementing agencies to ensure timely completion of development works approved up to the financial year 2022–23. He emphasized that pending works must be completed within the stipulated timeframe without further delay.

Repswal instructed that projects approved but not yet initiated should either be executed at the earliest by exploring all possible options or the sanctioned funds should be returned to the जिला authority and government treasury.

He further directed that ongoing works under the 2023–24 financial year should be completed within one month to avoid unnecessary delays. Additionally, all projects approved up to 2026 must be initiated promptly.

The DC also stressed the importance of transparency and accountability, directing officials to upload completion and utilization certificates of finished projects on the Monitoring Information System and e-Sakshi portal regularly.

All departments were instructed to update progress reports of ongoing and pending schemes consistently and submit monthly reports—including MPLADS—by the 10th of every month to the District Planning Officer.
