DAV New Shimla Emerges Overall Champion at DPS Shimla’s ‘Expressions 2026’

Shimla, June 12: Delhi Public School, Shimla successfully hosted the Inter-School Junior Literary Fest “Expressions 2026”, bringing together young talents from leading schools across the city for a vibrant celebration of creativity, communication and literary excellence.

The festival featured a wide range of competitions, including Spell Bee, Hindi and English Poetry Recitation, Prose Recitation, Just-A-Minute (JAM), Poster Making and Drama (Monologue). Students impressed judges and audiences alike with their confidence, imagination, language proficiency and stage presence.

Several participants were recognized with special awards for their exceptional performances. Sanaya Singh Gazta of Loreto Convent Tara Hall was adjudged Best Elocutionist (English), while Himanshi Thakur of Shimla Public School received the Best Elocutionist (Hindi) award. Sourish Sharma of DAV Public School, New Shimla was named Most Promising Speaker, and Shivika of Saraswati Paradise School was honoured with the Courage in the Face of Adversity Award in the JAM category.

In the Drama (Monologue) segment, Aushadhi Singh of Auckland House School for Girls earned the Best Speaker (Cave Orator) award for an outstanding performance.

The coveted Overall Winning Team Trophy was claimed by DAV Public School, New Shimla, which delivered consistently strong performances across multiple categories to emerge as the festival champion.

The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where organizers congratulated all participants and winners for their enthusiasm, talent and sportsmanlike spirit. “Expressions 2026” once again provided a valuable platform for young learners to develop confidence, creativity and communication skills beyond the classroom.
