Book Launch of Gupteshwar Nath Upadhyay’s Story Collection ‘Jab Suraj Ko Rona Aaya’

The launch and discussion of Gupteshwar Nath Upadhyay’s story collection “Jab Suraj Ko Rona Aaya” was hosted by the Keekli Charitable Trust at the Gaiety Complex Conference Hall. The event was chaired by Sh. Srinivasan Joshi. Key speakers, including K. R. Bharti, Dr. Hemraj Kaushik, Atma Ranjan, Dr. Satyanarayan Sneh, Shikha Mankotia, and Sujal Sharma, discussed the various aspects of the stories in detail. Poet Dinesh Sharma skillfully moderated the session. Keekli Charitable Trust President Vandana Bhagda welcomed all the guests and highlighted the Trust’s activities.

Gupteshwar Nath Upadhyay has been actively involved in both storytelling and poetry. This story collection is his third book and overall, his seventh publication. “Jab Suraj Ko Rona Aaya” includes stories drawn from his personal experiences, deeply reflecting on societal issues and contradictions. All the critics presented detailed discussions on the stories.

Over fifty writers and cultural enthusiasts from Shimla and other areas attended the event, including Devendra Dhar, Dr. Virendra Singh, Dr. Om Prakash Sharma, Ranjodh Singh, Sneh Negi, Sumit Raj, Uma Thakur, Gulpal Verma, Lekhraj Chauhan, Shyam Sharma, Radha Singh, Vichlit Ajay, Kirti Sharma, Shail Upadhyay, Bharat (Hyderabad), and others.
