The scenic campus of Bahra University came alive with energy and purpose as it hosted the spirited ‘Physio Run Marathon’, marking the dynamic start of Himclave 2 – a prestigious national event aimed at promoting physiotherapy and wellness. Participants included students, health enthusiasts, and practicing physiotherapists, all running with a shared mission: to advocate for a Pain-Free and Drug-Free Himachal Pradesh.

As part of the Pre-Conference Day, four advanced workshops were organized, featuring distinguished experts in physiotherapy: Dr. Tuhina Sharma, Dr. Amita Agarwal, Dr. Prabhjot Aneja, and Dr. Rajendra Pal Singh. These sessions focused on modern therapeutic approaches, offering hands-on training and clinical insights to budding professionals in the field.

Office bearers from the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP), Himachal Pradesh Chapter, including Dr. Anup, Dr. Arun, and Dr. Vijay, announced the International Physiotherapy Conference scheduled for 18 May under the Himclave 2 banner. The conference is expected to welcome around 500 delegates from Himachal Pradesh and across India.

Adding further prestige to the event, Hon’ble Health Minister Dr. Colonel Dhani Ram Shandil will attend as the Chief Guest, reinforcing government support for the evolving field of physiotherapy.

A representative from the Media and Communication Team highlighted that Himclave 2 is a joint initiative of IAP and Bahra University, aiming to raise awareness about the transformative power of physiotherapy in preventive and rehabilitative healthcare. The event not only emphasizes the clinical significance of physiotherapy but also showcases its growing career potential and social impact.

Himclave 2 serves as a reminder that physiotherapy is more than a treatment — it’s a movement towards active, pain-free, and holistic living.
