Wildlife Week 2026 to Begin in Shimla on October 2
Shimla, September 30: The Wildlife Wing of the Himachal Pradesh Forest Department will organise Wildlife Week 2026 from October 2 as part of its efforts to promote wildlife conservation, environmental awareness and public participation.
The week-long celebrations will be inaugurated on October 2 at 11:00 AM at the Shimla Water Catchment Gate by Anirudh Singh, RD & Panchayati Raj Minister, Government of Himachal Pradesh.
A series of programmes and activities have been planned throughout the seven-day celebration. The Forest Department has invited media personnel to attend and cover the various events aimed at creating greater awareness about wildlife conservation and environmental protection.
The department has appealed to the media and the public to participate in the celebrations and support the conservation initiative.
