Orientation Programme Held for PM SHRI School Heads of Kangra and Chamba
Shimla, September 23: Samagra Shiksha is conducting a five-day orientation programme for heads of PM SHRI schools from Kangra and Chamba to strengthen the effective and quality implementation of the scheme in Himachal Pradesh.
The programme focuses on Samagra Shiksha interventions, financial norms under the PM SHRI scheme and fund management and transfer through SNA SPARSH. Experts and resource persons are also providing guidance on school development, academic quality, innovation and effective utilisation of available resources.
The programme includes officials and coordinators from Samagra Shiksha, principals of DIET Kangra and Chamba, and Deputy Directors of Elementary and Secondary Education from both districts. The participants are also exchanging experiences and discussing strategies to improve implementation at the school level.
A total of 199 schools in Himachal Pradesh are being developed under the PM SHRI scheme, with emphasis on modern infrastructure, quality education and 21st-century skills. Science laboratories, digital libraries, smart classrooms, sports facilities and other learning resources are being developed in these schools.
Similar orientation programmes are being organised in phases across the state. A workshop has already been held in Bilaspur, while upcoming programmes are planned in Kullu and Solan.
