Final Result Declared for Geography Teacher Recruitment; 97 Candidates Selected
Hamirpur, August 18, 2026: The Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission (HPRCA) has declared the final result for the recruitment of 99 Geography Teacher posts in the School Education Department under Post Code-26027, following verification of documents of candidates who qualified the computer-based examination.
HPRCA Secretary Dr. Vikram Mahajan said that a total of 332 candidates had applied for the posts, while 268 candidates appeared for the computer-based examination. Following the examination, 202 candidates were shortlisted for document verification.
After the document verification process held on August 11 and 12, a total of **97 candidates have been selected** for appointment.
Two posts—one in the General (Freedom Fighter Ward) category and one in the Scheduled Caste (Freedom Fighter Ward) category—remain vacant due to the non-availability of eligible candidates.
Dr. Mahajan said the final result, including the names, roll numbers and marks of all candidates, has been uploaded on the Commission’s official website. Candidates can check the result and related details through the HPRCA website.
