Kullu Convent School Holds Investiture Ceremony for Academic Session 2026-27

Kullu, June 12: Kullu Convent School successfully organized its annual Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2026-27, marking an important milestone in student leadership and responsibility. The prestigious event was held to formally confer positions of authority and responsibility upon the newly elected members of the Student Council.
The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome to distinguished guests, teachers and students. The event was graced by Managing Director Suresh Kumar, Administrator Ritu Suresh Kumar, Academic Head (Senior Wing) Man Singh and Academic Head (Junior Wing) Monisha Sharma.
The formal proceedings began with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom. This was followed by a soulful rendition of the school song by the students, reflecting the values of unity, pride and commitment that define the Kullu Convent School family.
Addressing the gathering, Managing Director Suresh Kumar emphasized the true essence of leadership, stating, “Great leaders do not create followers; they create more leaders.” He encouraged the newly appointed student leaders to lead with integrity, responsibility and dedication.
Adding a cultural touch to the event, students of Class VI presented a thematic dance performance on “Education,” highlighting the transformative role of learning in shaping responsible and enlightened citizens.
A key highlight of the ceremony was the impressive march-past led by the Head Boy and Head Girl, followed by House Captains, Vice Captains, Club Presidents, Vice Presidents and Prefects. The newly appointed Student Council for the 2026-27 session was formally introduced, and badges were conferred upon the student leaders by Managing Director Suresh Kumar and Administrator Ritu Suresh Kumar.
The school also announced its House Leadership appointments for the new academic session. Among the key appointments were Bhaskar, Kairavi, Rijul and Dhruv as Junior Wing House Captains of Ignis, Ventus, Aqua and Terra Houses respectively, while Sargam, Shreyasi, Akshita and Pradyumn were among the senior student leaders entrusted with key responsibilities.
The ceremony concluded with the oath-taking ceremony, where the newly appointed leaders pledged to uphold the values and traditions of the institution with sincerity and commitment. The event served as an inspiring reminder of the importance of leadership, teamwork and service, setting a positive tone for the academic year ahead.
