IEC University Students Explore Wildlife and Biodiversity at Rajaji National Park

A three-day educational tour to Rajaji National Park in Uttarakhand for students of IEC University, Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, concluded successfully, offering students a unique opportunity to experience wildlife and ecology in a natural environment.
During the visit, students participated in a wildlife safari in the Chilla Range of the park, where they observed Asian elephants, leopards, and various species of deer in their natural habitat. The students also studied the rich biodiversity of the Shivalik foothills and explored the region’s rare flora and ecological significance.
An interactive session with forest officials and guides was also organised, during which students gained insights into ‘Project Elephant’, wildlife conservation efforts, and the challenges faced in protecting natural ecosystems.
According to the university administration, such educational tours help create environmental awareness among students while also encouraging teamwork, leadership, and experiential learning. Faculty members accompanied students from various departments during the tour.
At the conclusion of the trip, students shared that learning amidst nature and observing wildlife closely made the experience both memorable and enriching for their academic journey.
