1 min read

Chamba, March 2: Deputy Commissioner Chamba Mukesh Repswal has directed officials to ensure timely and effective disposal of pending cases under the Forest Conservation Act (FCA) so that developmental projects are not delayed unnecessarily and public works are completed within prescribed timelines.

The DC was presiding over a review meeting to assess the progress of various developmental projects in Sub-Division Chamba requiring FCA clearances. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the status of proposals submitted by different departments, reasons for pendency, and procedural hurdles in the approval process.

Repswal emphasized the need for better inter-departmental coordination and transparency to expedite pending cases on priority. He instructed officers to promptly address objections raised in proposals and ensure that all required documents are completed and submitted in a timely manner.

He further stressed that while forwarding proposals, all technical and revenue-related formalities must be thoroughly examined to avoid objections at higher levels. Ensuring departmental coordination, he noted, is crucial for accelerating developmental works.

The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed compliance of instructions issued in the previous meeting and directed concerned officials to ensure swift action on pending points.
