Preparations in Full Swing for Unveiling of Virbhadra Singh’s Statue in Shimla

Shimla, October 9, 2025 — Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap chaired a meeting to review preparations for the state-level event scheduled on October 13, 2025, for the unveiling of the statue of former Chief Minister Late Raja Virbhadra Singh at the historic Ridge. Calling the event significant for the entire state, the DC directed all departments to ensure flawless arrangements. Instructions were issued for medical and fire safety teams to be deployed, cleanliness and decoration of the Ridge to be ensured, and proper drinking water facilities to be arranged. Special emphasis was laid on maintaining security as a large number of dignitaries and attendees are expected to participate. Senior district officials including ADC Divyanshu Singal, ADM (Protocol) Jyoti Rana, and ADM (Law & Order) Pankaj Sharma attended the meeting.
