Jairam Thakur Targets Sukhu Government at Panchayati Raj Representatives’ Felicitation in Nachan

Mandi, September 13: Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur, while addressing a felicitation समारोह for newly elected Panchayati Raj representatives in Nachan, congratulated the elected representatives and urged them to work with dedication and commitment for the development of their areas.

Targeting the Sukhu government, Thakur alleged that the government had delayed Panchayati Raj elections and was pursuing a policy of political vendetta. He claimed that the BJP would form the government in Himachal Pradesh in 2027 and predicted a strong performance for the party in Mandi and Kangra districts.

On the Himcare scheme, Thakur alleged that the government was attempting to tarnish the image of the popular health scheme through a politically motivated investigation. He challenged the government to establish its allegations and said that any such investigation would be reviewed after the BJP returns to power.

Thakur also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, saying India’s role and influence on the global stage had strengthened through the BRICS platform. He said India was increasingly emerging as an important voice in global decision-making and economic cooperation.
