Shimla, September 3: Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur expressed condolences to all who lost their lives in recent disasters across Himachal Pradesh. He extended sympathies to affected families and prayed for the departed souls.

Highlighting ongoing risks from heavy rainfall and landslides, Thakur said many areas and villages remain vulnerable, with houses showing cracks and roads blocked, disrupting public services. He urged the administration to identify hazardous zones, prevent public access, and take proactive measures to reduce potential risks.

Thakur appealed to residents and tourists to stay away from dangerous areas, rivers, and streams, follow directives from local authorities, and avoid unnecessary travel. He emphasized that vigilance, cooperation, and active participation can minimize disaster-related losses.
