Strength in Motion: Auckland House Girls Shine at Senior Section Sports Day

Shimla, August 29, 2025: Auckland House School for Girls, Shimla, pulsated with energy and enthusiasm as the Senior Section Sports Day unfolded in a vibrant display of discipline, talent, and teamwork. The Chief Guest, Surinder Chauhan, Mayor of Shimla Municipal Corporation, along with Deputy Mayor Uma Kaushal and Councillor Meena Chauhan, graced the event and encouraged the young athletes.
The day began with an impressive March Past, complemented by spirited performances in Gymnastics, Karate, Yoga, Aerobics, and PT Drills. The NCC contingent and the School Pipe Band marching to the soulful tune of Iktara added grandeur to the occasion.
Athletic events tested skill and endurance, from Soft Ball and High Jump to Shot Put, Relay Races, and Tug of War. Among the individual honors, Ankur Chauhan Memorial Best Athlete Award went to Himalika Sharma, who also bagged the Victor Ludorum title. The Marching Cup was won by Ragini Thakur of Matthew House, which also claimed the Sports Shield and Proficiency Cup. Lefroy House lifted the Progress Cup, while in the overall results, Matthew House secured First Position, followed by Lefroy, Durrant, and French House.
In his address, the Chief Guest praised the students’ sportsmanship, discipline, and enthusiasm, urging them to balance academic excellence with co-curricular pursuits. The day culminated with a grand Prize Distribution Ceremony, celebrating both individual and collective triumphs.
