Shimla, January 14: In the wake of the establishment of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, former Prime Minister Modi has called on the citizens to initiate a cleanliness campaign in temples across the country. The campaign is set to run from January 14 to January 22, with the BJP initiating the drive at the famous Kali Bari Temple in Shimla on Sunday.
Former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur and other BJP leaders and workers participated in the cleanliness drive at the temple premises. On this occasion, opposition leader Jairam Thakur also urged the general public to join this initiative. Additionally, he criticized Rahul Gandhi’s Nyay Yatra (Justice March).
Thakur expressed his gratitude for the installation of the life force of Lord Rama in the Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya, considering it an immense fortune for the nation. He reminded the people that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had called upon citizens to clean temples in their respective areas from January 14 to 22. Following this initiative, a cleanliness campaign will be conducted in the state, starting at Kali Bari Temple in Shimla.
Jairam Thakur appealed to the people of the state to actively participate in this campaign and contribute to the cleanliness programs around temples in their vicinity. Meanwhile, he took a dig at the Congress and Rahul Gandhi, referring to the Nyay Yatra as meaningless. He praised the strong leadership in the country and credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the progress.
