Solan, September 12*: The Yogananda Centre of Theology (YCT), in collaboration with the School of Ancient Indian Wisdom and Yoga Sciences at Shoolini University, organized an enlightening session featuring Swami Krishanananda Giri, a senior monk from the Yogoda Satsanga Society (YSS) of India. The session was warmly welcomed by Chancellor Professor PK Khosla and SILB president Mrs. Saroj Khola.
During the session, Swami Krishanananda Giri delved into the intriguing relationship between science and spirituality. He explored how various areas of scientific research intersect with the principles and practices of yoga. Swami Giri acknowledged that some aspects may elude scientific quantification due to their intangible and spiritual nature. He emphasized the significance of human values and ego awareness, pointing out that while they might not be easily quantified by mathematics, they can still be measured to some extent with the right tools and mindset.
Sri Lavesh Raikhy, an eminent figure in this domain, further elaborated on the scientific interpretation of the aura and its seven layered energies. He emphasized that cultivating positive thinking, engaging in ‘Om’ chanting, and regular deep meditation could expand one’s aura, leading to enhanced spiritual well-being.
Swami Krishanananda Giri invoked the legacies of renowned scientists such as CV Raman, Chandrashekhar, and V Shanta, highlighting how their dedication and sacrifices propelled them to become luminaries in their respective fields. He encouraged students to seize the numerous opportunities for groundbreaking research offered by Shoolini University.
As a significant milestone, Swami Krishanananda Giri laid the foundation stone for the Yogananda Food Innovation Lab, situated within the Department of Food Technology at Shoolini University. This symbolic gesture, dedicated to Sri Paramahansa Yogananda, promises to be a hub for culinary creativity and innovation, fostering the fusion of spirituality and science.
